Known fledglings: Alora, Arthur, Miguel, Emily (incomplete list)

Favorite pupil: Lokiel.

Currently resides in: Seattle Washington.

Markus is a 10th generation vampire of incredible strength. There are still vampires alive who are older than himself. Vampires do not mature past the age they were at as a human, though they appear to due to picking up mannerisms of the times, so Markus is still mentally and physically 18 years old. He has created many fledglings over the years, but most of them perished or left him. His current fledgling is Emily. In the 1300s he befriended a dhampir named Loki and took him under his wing. He and Loki both loved Loki's childhood friend Alora and he convinced Loki to let him change her into a vampire. She went mad and killed herself. Loki never really forgave Markus and the two have had a strained relationship ever since (though at times it seemed he was forgiven). Even to this day Markus treasures Loki more than any of his students. His current fledgling is Emily, a 17 year old girl who resembles Alora, but is not her reincarnation since vampires do not have a soul to reincarnate. He originally had no plans to change Emily, but shortly after they began their relationship she developed a massive terminal brain tumor. Before she lost the ability to consent he asked if she'd like to live and she agreed to let him change her. Currently he and Loki are in a fight with the demons from which vampires and dhampir were born.
